The shop opened in 1962 by Mr Harold and Mrs Kathleen Gasnier senior which was called Gasniers shop repairs.
The shop continued to stay in the family and was run by Mr Ron Gasnier and Mrs Jean Gasnier. They became very popular to the locals as the business continued to move forward.
Towards their retirement the business was offered to Mr Chris Parfitt who had been working as an apprentice cobbler since September 1987, with Mrs Sue Pipe.
Chris currently holds level 2 in shoe and leather repairs city and guilds and level 3 which was the highest but it no longer exists now.
Chris also holds a diploma in retail management and customer service as he continues to learn his trade.
On full takeover Chris changed the shop to C A Parfitt & Son which resulted in a new design to the front of the shop because of the love he had for his football team Norwich City.
The present day the shop employs 5 members of staff as it continues to work hard with the high demand of orders.
